Meet Thomas P. Brown, IV

Meet Your Attorney

Mr. Brown received his B.A. degree from Temple University cum laude in 1970, and his J.D. degree in 1974 from Vanderbilt University Law School. Mr. Brown was a trial attorney for the United States Department of Labor’s Solicitors Office in Atlanta, Georgia from 1976 to 1979 and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in San Francisco, California during 1979 and 1980.

Mr. Brown entered private practice in 1981, first at Zoerbst Vienna and then at Jackson Lewis. He became a partner with Ford & Harrison (1984–1991) and a shareholder at Epstein Becker & Green (1991–2006) before co-founding Brown Gitt Law Group, ALC in June 2006.

Mr. Brown is a frequent contributor to The Labor Lawyer and was named a Super Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine for 2006 through 2010. He is a member of the Pasadena Bar Association. Mr. Brown is a frequent speaker on employment and labor topics.

Mr. Brown is admitted to all California State courts as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and United States District Courts for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of California.

Trial Experience:

Mr. Brown has tried more than 20 employment and contracts cases during the past ten years, winning in the vast majority of the trials. Generally, he tries two to three cases per year when he cannot prevail in mediation or summary adjudication.
